Brothers Group Earth Movers

Our place is located in Muttappally, right in the Kanjirappally area. It’s a family-run kind of thing, which is why we call it Brothers Group. We spend most of our time out on sites with the JCBs and other diggers. The land around here can be quite hilly and rocky, so there is always a demand for someone to level things out or dig foundations. We started this because we saw a lot of construction happening in our neighborhood. We don’t have a big corporate office or anything like that. We just work from where we are. Usually, the phone starts ringing early in the morning with people asking if we can come look at a plot. We go out, see what needs doing, and bring the machines over. It's tough on the equipment, so we spend a lot of our weekends fixing hoses or changing oil. The work is mostly clearing land or making space for new houses. Sometimes we help with road work when the panchayat needs it. It’s been this way for a few years now. We know most of the people around Muttappally by name. It’s not the cleanest job in the world, you’re always covered in mud or dust, but it feels good to see a finished site. We just keep our heads down and get the job done when someone hires us.
