A One Furniture

A One Furniture is located in N. Nagar near the SBP in Cherthala. If you are looking for us, we are right by the post office area. The shop always smells like fresh wood and saw dust. We have chairs and tables lined up, and sometimes we have to move everything out to the front just to get a big piece of furniture through the back door. It is a lot of lifting and carrying. We spend most of our time assembling things or checking the finish on a cupboard. It’s dusty work, so we are always cleaning off the surfaces before someone comes to look at them. The location is pretty quiet compared to the big city stores, which is nice. We get to know the people who live around Cherthala. Sometimes they just stop by to see what we have been working on. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to handle the furniture. We keep a notebook of what people are looking for. It is a simple way of doing things, but it has worked for us for a while now. When we aren't busy with customers, we are usually tightening screws or polishing the wood. It’s just what we do every day. It’s a fine way to spend the time. There is always a new project to start on tomorrow.
