Tarafdar Clinic

Tarafdar Clinic is located right at Madarsa Chowk. If you live around here, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times. It is a small place, nothing flashy. We mainly deal with the usual health issues that come up in a family. Kids with coughs, older folks needing their blood pressure checked, that kind of thing. The space is a bit tight but we make it work. Most of the people who come in are our neighbors. We know most of them by name after all these years. It’s not like those big city hospitals where you are just a number. Here, you just sit on the bench and wait your turn. Sometimes the tea stall outside gets loud, but that’s just life in the chowk. We try to keep things simple. If we can't help with something specific, we usually know who to send you to. The doctor spends as much time as needed with each person, so sometimes things run a little behind schedule. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. People just know we are here. We open up in the morning and stay until the last patient is seen. It's just a regular part of the community. Nothing more, nothing less. We keep the floor swept and the lights on, and we do our best for whoever walks in. It isn't always easy, but we've been doing it for a long time now and we'll keep doing it.
