Our base is in the village of Bagalbari, over in the Kochadhamin block of Kishanganj. Sahista Construction Private Limited is very much a local operation. We operate out of the space provided by Bibi Momina Khatoon and keep things pretty simple. In a place like Bagalbari, everyone knows everyone, so you can’t really hide behind fancy words. You just have to do the work. We focus on construction projects around the Tola and Panch areas. It’s mostly rural work, which has its own rhythm. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world, just a reliable one for the people in Kishanganj. Often, we are dealing with limited resources and tough weather, but we’ve been doing this long enough to know the tricks. The office is just a place to store the blueprints and have a cup of tea while we talk about the next day’s plan. We don't have a big staff of executives; it’s mostly just us and the local workers we hire from the village. It feels good to provide jobs and build things that our neighbors use. It’s hard work, and the pay isn't always amazing, but it’s honest. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with the projects in front of us. That’s life here in the 855107 area and we wouldn't have it any other way.
