District Hospital

This is the Kishanganj District Hospital in Bihar. It’s a pretty well-known spot in this part of Kishanganj. We handle a massive amount of people every week. If you come here on a Monday, you will see exactly how busy a hospital in Bihar can get. The building is old and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it stays standing. We don't have a PR team or anyone to tell us how to sound professional. We just talk like normal people. Most of us grew up around Kishanganj, so we know the families who come in. We see everything from new babies being born to people who are just getting older and need some help. It is a loud, bustling place with a lot of energy. Sometimes it feels a bit chaotic, but we have a system that works for us. We don't have fancy private rooms with televisions. It is mostly shared wards where everyone talks to each other. We provide the medicine and the care that the district needs. It is hard work and the days are very long. We don't have any big missions or goals other than just getting through the day and helping the people who walk through our doors. It is just a plain, honest hospital for the people of Kishanganj. We do the work and we don't make a big deal out of it.
