Chhatrapati Traders

Chhatrapati Traders is out here in Mandvi Village. We’re in the Kinwat Taluka of Nanded, right near Mandvi Road. It’s a rural area, so things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Our yard is just a big open space where we keep all the supplies. We’ve been here for a while now, and most people in the district know where to find us. It’s mostly just us and the materials. We spend our days loading trucks and talking to the drivers. The road can be a bit rough, especially after the monsoon, so we spend some time clearing the entrance so the vehicles don't get stuck. It’s dusty work. You can’t really help it when you’re dealing with construction stuff all day. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning. We just have a small corner where we keep the books and take a break. The village life is quiet, but there’s always someone needing something for a new wall or a small building project. We don’t go in for big marketing or anything. We just let the work happen. Sometimes we sit out front and watch the carts go by on Mandvi Road. It’s a simple way to make a living. We have our regulars who come by every few months. We just stay busy with the loading and making sure the inventory is where it should be. It’s hard on the hands, but we’re used to it after all these years.
