Bhagwankrupa Hospital

Bhagwankrupa Hospital is situated right on the Main Road in Patoda. Being on the main road means we get a lot of noise from the passing trucks and tractors, but it also makes it very easy for people from the surrounding villages to find us. The hospital is a straightforward building with a concrete front and a small area where people can park their bikes or cycles. We have a few wards inside with metal bed frames that we’ve had for a long time. The smell of disinfectant is pretty strong when you first walk in, but you get used to it after five minutes of being here. Our staff is mostly local, so we speak the same way as everyone else in Patoda. We don’t have a big fancy lobby with a fountain or anything like that. It’s just a functional place with a counter, some medicine bottles, and a lot of hard work. During the harvest season, things get a bit quieter during the day and then very busy in the evenings when everyone is done in the fields. We keep the water cooler filled up because it gets quite hot here in the summer. Sometimes the records get a bit messy on busy days, but we eventually find what we’re looking for. It’s just a regular local hospital doing what it’s supposed to do for the community on the main road.
