Gowtham Traders

Gowtham Traders is set up at Plot No. 122 in Lakkar Mandi, Doraha. If you know the area, you know it’s mostly about wood and trading. We’ve been here for a good number of years now. It’s a busy spot with tractors and trucks moving through all day long. Our place is pretty basic. We have a desk, some chairs for customers, and a lot of stock piled up in the back. We don't see the point in spending money on things we don't need, so the shop is quite simple. We deal with various traders and local builders. Most days are spent talking to people who come in looking for a deal. We drink a lot of chai and talk about the market prices. It’s how business gets done here. We don't have a computer system that tracks everything perfectly. We still use a lot of paper ledgers because that’s what we are used to and it works for us. Doraha is a small place where everyone knows everyone’s business. We like the community feel of Lakkar Mandi. You can always find someone to talk to near the gate. We aren't trying to be the biggest traders in the state. We just want to do enough business to keep things moving and support our families. Some days are slow, especially when it rains and the mud makes it hard for the trucks to get in. But we stay open and wait for the next customer to walk in.
