Asst. F & B Manager

Down here in West Singhbhum, Jharkhand, things move a bit differently. We are based out here with the pin code 833215, working as the Asst. F & B Manager. It is a lot of work dealing with food and beverages in this part of the state. You have to keep a close eye on the supplies coming in and the kitchen staff. It is often hot and loud, with the smell of spices and the clatter of pots and pans. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning all day. Most of the time is spent on our feet, checking the pantry or making sure the service is going okay. The area around Singhbhum is a bit more rugged, so getting fresh supplies consistently can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. We have to be practical and solve problems as they come up. It’s not like those corporate jobs in the big cities where everything is automated. Here, you have to talk to people and use your hands. We’ve been in this trade for a while now, and you learn how to handle the pressure when the dining room gets full. We don't have time for fancy mission statements. We just want to make sure the food is decent and nobody goes away hungry. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we know and we do our best with what we have.
