Apollo Clinic

Out here in Dharmanagar, things move a bit slower than in the big cities like Agartala. We are up in North Tripura, and this Apollo Clinic is where people from the nearby villages come. It’s not a huge place. It’s just a clinic. We see a lot of folks who’ve traveled quite a bit to get here. The weather in Tripura can be tough, either too hot or too much rain, but we stay open regardless. We don’t have any glossy brochures about our vision for the future. We just have chairs and some basic equipment. Most of us grew up around here or in the next town over. We know the people. We know who’s related to who. It feels more like a community spot than a medical facility sometimes. People come in to talk as much as they do for a checkup. We keep the floor swept and make sure the lights are working. It’s simple work but it’s needed. Dharmanagar is a quiet place most of the time. We don't have the big city rush. We take our time with the records and the charts. Sometimes the power goes out and we just wait it out with a torch or a candle. It’s just how it is in North Tripura. We aren’t trying to be the biggest or the best, we’re just here on the ground doing what we can for the neighbors. It’s just a small clinic in a small town and we are happy with that.
