Vivekanand Hospital

You can find Vivekanand Hospital at Binalipi Bhawan, specifically plots A-54/1 and A-54/2 in the Baramunda Colony of Bhubaneswar. We are right there at the Fire Station Square, which is a major point for anyone traveling through this part of the city. The building is called Binalipi Bhawan and it’s a fairly large structure that houses different parts of the hospital. It’s not one of those brand new glass buildings you see in the IT parks; it’s more of a solid, older style place. The square outside is always busy with fire trucks sometimes rushing out or just the general traffic of Baramunda. Inside, the hallways are wide enough for stretchers and the floors are kept as clean as possible with all the people walking through. There are plastic chairs in the waiting zones where families sit for hours. It’s a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it, with different rooms for different things. The air inside always has that faint smell of disinfectant. We have a lot of staff running around in blue or white uniforms. It’s a high-energy environment because there’s always something happening at the Fire Station Square. We don't have fancy cafes inside, just the basic necessities for the patients and their relatives who are staying over. It’s a very local, functional hospital in the middle of a busy residential colony.
