Ullash Social Foundation

We are located at Plot No 153 in Sector-5, right in the heart of Bhubaneshwar. If you know the Niladri Vihar or Sailashree Vihar areas, we are just a short walk from there in Khorda. The office is on a fairly quiet street, which is nice when we have to concentrate on all the social work we’ve got piled up. We aren't a big operation with a bunch of fancy titles or polished floors. Most of us just wear many hats and do whatever needs to be done that day. One day we might be visiting a local school, and the next we are sitting in the office trying to figure out how to fix a problem for a neighbor. It’s all social foundation work, which sounds formal, but it’s actually just about being a good neighbor on a larger scale. We have a few old desks and some chairs that aren't the most comfortable, but they serve their purpose for the meetings we have. People come by all the time to drop off things or just to talk about what’s happening in the community. We try to keep things simple and honest here. There’s no point in pretending to be something we aren't. We’re just here in Bhubaneshwar, working out of a small plot and trying to make the day a bit better for whoever comes through our door. It is often tiring, but it is real, honest work.
