Our office is tucked away at B 41 in Nabakrushna Nagar, right at Ramesh Chandra Nayak’s place. It’s a quiet enough street most of the time, which helps when we need to focus on the technical side of the engineering projects we take on. Sarada Engicon isn't a giant operation with a hundred people. We’re a smaller team, and we like it that way because it means we actually know what’s going on with every single job. The desks are usually covered in drawings and notes from the last site visit. Sometimes the tea runs out and someone has to go down the road to get more, but we make do. We spend a lot of time talking to contractors and making sure the supplies show up when they’re supposed to. It’s not always easy, especially when the weather doesn't cooperate or a delivery gets stuck somewhere. Running a business like this in this part of town means you get to know the neighbors and the other local shops. We don't have a big marketing department or anything; we just show up and do the work that needs doing. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other days it’s just the sound of the ceiling fan and someone typing. We’ve been at this for a bit now, and we’ve learned that being consistent is better than being flashy. That’s just how we operate here in Nabakrushna Nagar. We don't have fancy titles or a big board of directors, just a few people trying to get the day's tasks done.
