Rn Crop Science Private Limited is located over in Bhubaneswar, right in the Mangala Basti area. We’re on a government plot, specifically I. Bond. It’s in the Khorda district of Orissa. Being in the basti means we are right in the middle of a very lively, busy neighborhood. It’s not the kind of place you’d find a huge corporate tower, and we like it that way. We focus on crop science, but in a way that makes sense for the local environment. Our days are mostly spent dealing with the practical side of agriculture. We talk to people about their land and what they are trying to grow in the Orissa soil. It can be a bit dusty around the plot sometimes, and the traffic in Bhubaneswar can be a headache, but we make it work. We are a small team, and we don't have any fancy titles or anything like that. We just show up, do the work, and try to be helpful to whoever walks through the door. The building itself is pretty basic, just enough to hold our equipment and some desks for the paperwork. We’ve been here for a bit now, and we’ve gotten to know the people in Mangala Basti pretty well. It’s a good feeling to be a local business that doesn't try to act bigger than it is. We just focus on the science of the crops and keep things moving.
