Peoplecenter Foundation

We are based over at Plot No C-10 in Palaspalli, which is right in the Aerodrome area of Khordha. Being so close to the airfield means we hear the planes taking off and landing all day long. You’d think it would be distracting, but it actually becomes a sort of background rhythm for us. The Peoplecenter Foundation office is just a regular house that we’ve converted for our use. It’s got a small garden that we try to keep alive, though the summer heat makes it difficult. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, chairs, and stacks of paperwork. We don’t have any polished reception area or fancy art on the walls. It’s a working space, plain and simple. Most of our neighbors are families who have lived here for decades, so it’s a very friendly street. We often find ourselves chatting with people over the gate. We aren't a big organization with a lot of hierarchy. It’s just a handful of us who wanted to do something useful. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out in the field. When we are in the office, things can get a bit chaotic with everyone talking at once, but we manage. We don't use big words or try to sound more important than we are. We just show up, do what needs doing, and head home. It’s an honest way to spend the day, and the location suits us perfectly.
