Our location for Pattanayak Pharmaceutical Privatelimited is at Plot No. 111 in the VIP Area of Nayapalli. Bhubaneswar is a fast-growing city, but this particular pocket in Khordha has its own pace. Being in the VIP area sounds high-end, but our office is actually very functional and basic. We have a lot of paperwork to deal with, and the shelves are usually overflowing with different records. The Nayapalli police station and post office are not far away, so it is a convenient spot for getting errands done. We spend most of the morning sorting through the mail and checking on the distribution schedules. The office gets quite a bit of light in the morning, which is nice until it gets too hot in the afternoon. Then we usually pull the curtains and keep the fans on high. There is a lot of traffic on the main road, so there is always a background noise of horns and engines. We have a small crew here, and everyone knows exactly what their job is. There is no need for big meetings or fancy presentations. We just talk across the desks to get things sorted out. Most days, we are just busy with the nuts and bolts of the pharma trade. It is a lot of counting, checking, and re-checking. When the day ends, we lock up the plot and head home like everyone else.
