We are over on Cuttack Road in Bhubaneswar, specifically in Flat No 408 of the Siddhi Vinayak Apartment. Being behind the Jatri Niwas makes us pretty easy to find if you are in the area. It is a bit unusual to run a handloom and handicraft business out of an apartment building, but it works for us. We have turned the rooms into storage and office space for all our items. The halls are often filled with the smell of old wood or traditional fabrics. Since we are in Khordha, the city life is always buzzing outside our windows. Cuttack Road is always busy with traffic and people, so it never really gets quiet here. We don't have a big store window to show off our things. Instead, we focus on the pieces we collect and distribute from this flat. It is a practical way to run things without the high costs of a big showroom. Sometimes the elevator is slow or the corridors are crowded with boxes, but we just keep going. Our staff is small, and we do everything from packing to paperwork ourselves. It is a very hands-on way to handle handicrafts. We aren't polished or corporate; we are just people who like the local crafts of Orissa and want to keep selling them from our little corner on Cuttack Road. We hope to stay here for a long time.
