We are set up over at Shriyans Rest House, which is quite close to the Gundicha Temple. It’s a bit of a unique spot to have an office, but it works for us. The area gets very crowded during festival times, and sometimes it is a real struggle just to get to the front door through all the pilgrims and stalls. Our space inside the rest house is basic. We have some desks, a few filing cabinets, and a lot of papers to go through. Most of our work involves managing the local side of things for MMTC Limited. It isn't a glamorous job. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing down figures in our books. The walls are a bit thin, so we can often hear the bells and the chanting from the temple nearby. It gives the workday a different kind of rhythm. We don't have any fancy decorations or a lobby to speak of. People usually come in because they have business to discuss or forms to sign. We try to keep things moving as efficiently as we can, even when the heat gets a bit much in the middle of the day. There’s a small tea stall just outside where we usually grab our morning drink. It’s a steady life here, dealing with the daily tasks while the world passes by on the way to the temple. It’s mostly just paperwork and coordination with other offices.
