Math Guru

I started Math Guru because kids around here were really struggling with their numbers and I thought I could help. We are located right by the Central School back gate, just across from Sidhamahabir. It’s a busy spot during school hours but easy to find for anyone in the area. I’ve been teaching for a long time now and noticed that once the basic stuff clicks, the rest gets much easier for the students. We don't have any fancy furniture or expensive equipment in here. Just a few rows of wooden benches and a big board. Students come in after their regular school classes, sit down, and we go through the math problems together until they actually get it. Sometimes we stay a bit late if a particular chapter is proving to be tough. It’s mostly just hard work and a lot of practice. Parents usually know me by my first name since I grew up in this part of Puri. If you are walking past the temple, you will see our door. It gets a bit noisy when school lets out, but we manage to stay focused. We don't have a big staff, it is just a couple of us helping out. We talk about the sums, draw a few diagrams, and keep at it until the sun goes down. It isn't always fun for the kids, but the work needs doing. We just provide a place to sit and learn.
