Maa Mangala General Store

Our little store is called Maa Mangala General Store and you can find us in Kakatpur. We are located on Khurda Road, which is pretty easy to find if you are heading towards the Maa Mangala Temple. Being so close to the temple means we see a lot of people every day, especially during festival times or on weekends when pilgrims come through. It’s a typical general store where we stock all the usual bits and pieces people might need at home. We spend a lot of time just organizing shelves and chatting with the neighbors who stop by. It’s not a big supermarket or anything like that. It’s just us here, keeping track of what’s in stock and what needs ordering. The morning starts with tea and getting the front area tidy. Sometimes we have a lot of people at once and other times it’s very quiet and we just sit and watch the traffic go by on Khurda Road. We’ve been here for a while and the locals know us by name now. It’s a small community and news travels fast around here. We don't have any fancy signs or big ads. We just keep the door open and wait for customers to come in. Most days are about the same, which suits us just fine. Life in Kakatpur is steady and we like being a part of the daily routine for the folks living nearby. It is just a simple way of life for us.
