Lex Awareness Foundation

The Lex Awareness Foundation is tucked away at Plot No. L/B-256, right on Mangala Temple Lane in Bhimatangi. This part of Bhubaneswar near Lingaraj is always full of life, and you can hear the bells from the temple pretty clearly from our front door during the morning prayers. The lane itself is a bit narrow, so if you’re driving, you have to be careful with the bikes and the people walking by. Our office is a simple building that fits right in with the rest of the neighborhood. We’ve got a lot of books and papers stacked up inside because that’s just the nature of legal awareness work. It’s a bit dusty sometimes with the windows open, but we like the breeze. Most days, it’s just a few of us sitting around discussing things or typing away on some old keyboards. It’s not a high-tech environment by any means. We know the neighbors by name, and the guy at the small shop next door knows exactly how we like our tea when we go for a break. It’s a very grounded place to be. We don't try to act like a big law firm; we’re just here to help people understand things better. The light in the afternoon hits the front room just right, making it a decent place to sit and work through the day. It’s a humble spot, but it serves us well for the work we do.
