We are based out of Plot No- 344/3082 in Kantilo, which is in the Sundarpada area of Bhubaneswar. It’s a growing part of town and there is always plenty of dust and activity around our office. We work on various infrastructure projects, which basically means we spend our time managing laborers and making sure the supplies like cement and sand arrive when they should. The office is a simple setup where we store our tools and keep our records. It’s not the kind of place with fancy furniture; it’s more about having a spot to sit and drink some water while we go over the day’s plan. Working in the Khordha heat is tough, but we’ve been doing it long enough that we don’t complain much anymore. We have a regular routine that starts early and ends whenever the work is done for the day. Sometimes a machine breaks down or the soil isn't what we expected, and we just have to figure out a solution right then and there. We don't use any corporate jargon or make big promises. We just show up at the site, do the labor, and move on to the next task. It’s an honest way to make a living and it keeps us connected to the neighborhood. Most of our days are spent on the ground, making sure everything is level and solid. It's just a lot of basic hard work.
