Jurior Faculty

My name is Anshu Singh and I work as a Jurior Faculty member. I spend most of my time at the Natinal Institute Of Fashion Designing here in Bhubaneswar. Our place is tucked into the Barramunda Housing Board Colony. It is an interesting spot because it is a residential area but we have the fashion school right here. I’m mostly busy with students and teaching the basics of design. It is a lot of talk about fabrics and patterns. The building isn't huge, but it works for what we need. Orissa has its own style and history with clothes, and being in Bhubaneswar lets us stay connected to that. I live or stay around the colony too, so the commute is basically nothing. Sometimes the students are a bit noisy, but that is how it goes in a school. I don't really have a big office or a title that matters much. I just focus on the classes and making sure the fashion institute runs okay day to day. Designing things sounds glamorous to people who aren't doing it, but mostly it is just hard work and attention to detail. Barramunda is a decent area with plenty of houses and local shops nearby. It feels very grounded and real. I am just one part of the faculty here trying to help out.
