Ims & Sum Hospital

Our place, Ims & Sum Hospital, is located at Plot No K8/18 in Kalinga Nagar. Most people find us by looking for the Bank of Baroda, as we are right near there. It’s a good landmark because Kalinga Nagar can get a bit confusing with all the different plots and blocks. The hospital is a fairly large building compared to some of the smaller clinics around here. I work with a lot of different people every day, from the cleaning staff to the other doctors. We stay busy because there are a lot of residential areas nearby. It isn't a quiet job; there is always the sound of carts moving or people talking in the corridors. We don't have a lot of formal rules about how we talk to people, we just try to be helpful and get them to the right department. The area around the Bank of Baroda is usually quite busy with people doing their banking or shopping, so there’s always a bit of a crowd. Our waiting area is often full, especially in the mornings when most of the appointments are scheduled. We’ve tried to make the space as comfortable as we can without spending a fortune on fancy furniture. It’s a practical hospital for the people living in this part of town. We just focus on the daily tasks and making sure the patients are looked after properly. It’s a lot of work, but it’s what we do here in Kalinga Nagar.
