Foundation For Sustainable Developmentand Climate Action

Our place is right near the Patia Railway Station, specifically at Plot No. 1657 in Mahavir Vihar. It’s a busy little area, especially with the trains coming and going all the time. You can hear the announcements from the station if the wind is blowing the right way. We started this foundation because we were looking at the weather and the way the city was changing and felt like somebody should probably be paying attention to it. It’s not like we have all the answers or some big secret plan. We’re just a group of people who care about how the environment is holding up around Bhubaneswar. Most of our mornings are spent dealing with the humidity and trying to organize small projects that actually make sense for the local community. It’s hard work, and sometimes it feels like we’re just moving one rock at a time, but we keep at it. The office isn’t anything special to look at, just a regular space in Mahavir Vihar where we keep our files and meet up. We talk a lot about things like sustainable living, but in a way that regular people can actually do, not just big words in a book. It’s mostly about finding practical ways to deal with the climate stuff right here in our own neighborhood. We’re just trying to be a part of the solution instead of just complaining about the heat or the rain. It keeps us pretty busy.
