Drusti Socio Economical Development Foundation

Drusti Socio Economical Development Foundation is over at Plot 12 in Bijipur, right near the Tamando police station. It’s a developing area and we’ve been working from this plot for a while now. Our goal is to look at both the social and economic sides of life here. We aren't a big institution. Most of us who work here live in or around Bijipur. We see the daily struggles people have with jobs and community life, so we try to do something about it. The office is a simple one, nothing too fancy. We don't use a lot of complicated language to describe what we do. We just help people find ways to improve their lives, whether that's through learning a new skill or getting help with a social issue. Being near the Tamando station makes it a recognizable spot for people coming in. We don't have a huge staff, just a few dedicated people who are tired of seeing things stay the same. We do our best with what we have at Plot 12. It’s slow work sometimes, and we don't always have the answers right away, but we keep trying. People stop by all the time just to talk, and we think that’s a good way to stay connected to what’s actually happening in the neighborhood.
