Our office is on Nuagaon Road at Plot No-227/2410. Since this is a one-person company, things are run in a very straightforward way. There is no big hierarchy or layers of management to deal with. It is mostly just me, along with a few people I bring in when a project gets too big for one person. Nuagaon Road is always busy and there is always something happening outside. I spend a lot of my time on the phone or driving around Bhubaneswar and Khordha to check on different sites. The office is where I keep all the books and the project plans. It is a small room, but it is enough for what I need. I do not have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. Most of my work comes from people telling their friends about me. I focus on infrastructure projects. It is hard, physical work most of the time. I am often out in the heat making sure things are being built correctly. Sometimes I get behind on the filing or forget to answer an email right away. That is what happens when you are doing almost everything yourself. I like the independence of it though. I can make a decision on the spot without waiting for a meeting. It is a busy life, but it is practical and I like it.
