Bismayandbikash Exim is based out of Plot-914, right near the Balianta Market. If you’ve ever been to the market, you know it’s a lively spot with a lot of noise and people moving around all the time. Our office is just a plain room where we handle the import and export side of things. Bismay and Bikash started this because they saw a chance to move goods through this area, and it’s been a steady climb ever since. We don’t have any big corporate signs or anything like that, just our small space where the work happens. On market days, it’s particularly loud, but we’ve gotten used to the sound of trucks and shouting outside our door. Most of our day is spent talking to vendors or figuring out where the next load of goods is coming from. We aren’t a huge company with hundreds of employees, but we manage to stay busy enough with the projects we have on our plate. Sometimes the rain makes the road near the market a bit of a mess, which slows things down, but we just deal with it as it comes. It’s a very local way of doing business, keeping things simple and focusing on the actual trade instead of worrying about how the office looks. We just want to make sure the boxes move and the paperwork stays in order at Plot-914.
