Bellfisheries Exports Private Limited is based out of the HB Colony in Chandrasekharpur. Our specific address is M.I.G-1, 52/4, and it is where we do all our daily business. Working in a housing board colony gives the office a very different feel than being in an industrial park. It’s a bit more personal and we know our neighbors well. We focus on exporting fisheries products, so our days are filled with logistics, temperature checks, and shipping schedules. It is a fast-paced environment because you cannot let the products sit for too long before they are shipped out. We have a small team that manages the phones and the paperwork, ensuring that every shipment from Chandrasekharpur is accounted for. The office is often full of the sounds of people talking to suppliers and checking on the transport trucks that arrive and depart. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations on the walls, just some maps and calendars to keep track of the dates. Sometimes the traffic in the colony gets a bit heavy during the peak hours, but we have learned to work around it. We take our work seriously but we keep the atmosphere casual and friendly. Most of us have been in the fisheries business for a long time, so we know the ins and outs of the trade fairly well. It’s just about getting the fish from one place to another while they are still in good condition. That is our daily grind here in Orissa.
