Balaji Clinic

Down here in Khandapara, our little clinic is a bit of a staple for the local folks. It’s not a big building with glass windows, just a practical space where we handle the usual health stuff that comes up. We’ve seen kids grow up coming here for their checkups. The neighborhood is quiet mostly, and we like it that way. Usually, it’s just one person after another, nothing too fast-paced. We keep our records in simple folders and don't bother much with computers if we don't have to. Sometimes the rain makes the street a bit messy, but people still make it over. We try to keep enough medicine on the shelves so nobody has to go far. It’s a bit cramped when three or four families show up at once, but we manage fine. There’s a specific smell of antiseptic that never really leaves the walls. That’s just part of the job, I guess. We aren’t trying to be the biggest place around, just a reliable one for the people living on these streets. Most of our day is spent listening to stories about how people are feeling and trying to offer some useful help. It’s decent work and it keeps us busy. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy, but everyone knows where we are. It is just a regular place for regular people.
