About Arya Iron Steel – Metals & Minerals in Khordha
We operate out of Siripur Square at Plot No. 1268 in Unit-8. It’s a busy part of Bhubaneswar. Our yard is usually full of inventory. Dealing with iron and steel is heavy work, so there’s always noise from loading and unloading. We’ve been at this spot for several years. The weather in Orissa can be quite rainy, which makes working outside a bit of a challenge sometimes. We have a small office on the plot where we handle the invoices and talk to customers. It’s not a corporate office, just a desk and some chairs. Most people who come by are local builders or small contractors. We know many of them by name. The trucks come in and out through Siripur Square all day long. It gets dusty, but that’s part of the business. We don’t spend money on big ads. Most folks find us because they saw the sign or heard about us from someone else. It’s straightforward work. We keep track of the stock and make sure things get delivered where they need to go. Sometimes the traffic in Unit-8 is a bit much, especially during peak hours. We just focus on the daily tasks of moving metal. It’s a practical business for a practical city. We have a few workers who have been with us since we opened. The gates stay open from early morning until the sun goes down. There's always a lot of clanging metal sounds coming from our plot throughout the day and we just keep at it.
