Vedanta Aluminium Limited

We are located over in Jadupur, near the Khandagiri side of Bhubaneswar. This area has changed a lot lately with more buildings and traffic, but we’ve stayed put here for Vedanta Aluminium Limited. The office is easy to spot once you get into the neighborhood, though the roads can be a bit bumpy after a good rain. We handle a lot of the administrative side of things for the Orissa operations from this desk. It’s a lot of phone calls to the plants and keeping track of what the trucks are doing. The building is just a standard office, nothing that would win any awards for design, but it works for us. We have a few fans that make a lot of noise and a coffee machine that is temperamental at best. Most of the staff live nearby, so there’s a real local feel to the place. We talk about the local news and the weather as much as we talk about aluminium. It isn’t a high-pressure corporate environment in the way people think. It’s just a group of people doing their jobs and making sure the paperwork doesn’t pile up too high. We like being in this part of the city because it feels a bit more like a community than the main downtown area. It’s a decent place to spend the day, and we keep things pretty relaxed as long as the work gets finished.
