We've been here at Plot L/166 in the Dumduma Housing Board area for a while now. Most people know the Aiagian post office nearby. It’s a busy spot in Khurda. The office isn't anything fancy, just a place where we get things done. In the mornings, the tea stall down the road gets pretty crowded before everyone starts their shift. We handle a lot of paperwork and keep track of the trucks coming and going. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. It’s hot in the summers, but we have a couple of fans that keep the air moving. Most of us live close by, so it's a short commute. You can see the housing board flats from our windows. We try to keep the desk organized, but with so many logs and records, it’s a constant battle against the clutter. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but nobody really has the time to worry about that. We just focus on the daily tasks. It’s a steady kind of life here. The neighbors are mostly families, so it stays relatively quiet during the day except for the occasional delivery. We’ve grown used to the rhythm of this neighborhood. It feels like home to most of the staff who have been here for years. We just take each day as it comes and try to stay on top of the work.
