Tractor India Ltd, or TIL as most people call it, has a presence out here in the Khurda district. We’re located via Jankia in a place called Damanbhumi. It’s a bit of a trek to get here if you aren’t from around these parts, but it’s where the work needs to happen. We deal with heavy machinery, mostly tractors and parts, which is essential for the farms and construction sites in this region. The office is a simple building that serves as our main base for the area. We spend a lot of time checking inventory and making sure the machines are ready to go. It can get pretty dusty and loud, but that’s the nature of working with big equipment. Our team is small and we all know each other well. We don't spend much on decorations or fancy office supplies. We just need the basics to keep the logs updated and the orders coming in. Most days start early before the heat gets too bad. We see a lot of local farmers and mechanics who need something fixed or a part replaced. It’s a hands-on kind of place. We don’t use any big sales pitches; we just show people what we have and help them out. The address is 752020, so we’re tucked away but we stay busy with the local demand.
