Subham Films Pvt. Ltd. operates out of Plot-315 in the Baramunda Colony of Bhubaneswar. We are right near the Baramunda post office, which makes it easy for people to find the building. The office is really just a bunch of rooms filled with editing equipment, cameras, and stacks of hard drives. It’s not a flashy place with red carpets or movie posters everywhere. We spend a lot of our time in the dark, looking at screens and trying to get the timing right on whatever project we are working on. The 751003 area is pretty lively, so there’s always noise from the street, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We started this company because we wanted to make things here in Orissa. It’s not always easy, and sometimes the equipment breaks down or the weather ruins a shoot day, but we keep at it. Our team is small, mostly just a few people who have been friends for a long time. We don't have a big corporate structure or a bunch of managers. We just talk to each other across the room and decide what needs to happen next. Most of our days are long, often stretching late into the night when we are close to a deadline. We don't have a fancy website or a lot of promotional materials. We just rely on the work we’ve done and the people we know in the local industry.
