Over here at Plot 276 in Nandan Vihar, we run Sakti Electronics. This is in the Prafulla Pattnaik area of Bhubaneswar. We have been working out of this spot for a while now. It is not a huge factory or a high-tech lab, just a practical place where we deal with electronic components and circuit boards. Many days, the worktables get really cluttered with wires, soldering irons, and bits of plastic. We have a few technicians who have been with us for a long time. They know their way around a motherboard better than anyone else I know. The building itself isn't very new, and the stairs are a little narrow when we are carrying equipment up and down. We spend most of our working day looking through magnifying glasses or testing different pieces of hardware. It is mostly quiet work, except for the constant hum of the testing machines in the background. We don't spend any money on big advertisements. Most people in Nandan Vihar just know where we are if they need something electronic handled. We try to keep all the tiny parts organized in those small plastic bins, but it is a constant battle to stay neat. The power goes out occasionally, which is always a pain, but we have a backup generator to keep things moving. We aren't trying to be some massive company. We just do the work and make sure the hardware actually works.
