Rakhi Garments & Soft Toys

Out here at B/79 Candaka Industrial Estate, things are a bit different than the main city markets. It is an industrial area, so there is always the sound of trucks and machines around. We handle garments and soft toys here. It is a bit of a mix, I know. One side of the room might have fabrics and the other has stuffing for toys. We started small and just kept at it in Chandaka. The roads around here can get a bit dusty when the weather is dry. Most of our day is spent checking the stitching or making sure the toy eyes are put on right. It is not a glamorous job but it keeps us busy. We have a few people working with us who have been here since we opened. We eat lunch together and talk about the heat or the rain. Sometimes we get a lot of orders at once and the place feels a bit cramped with all the boxes. But we manage. The industrial estate is a long way from the fancy malls. We just focus on what we are making. If you are looking for us, look for the big gate in block B. We don't have a big neon sign. Just a door and a lot of work going on inside.
