Plant Manager

If you head over to the Brit Colony in Nayapally, you’ll find our place at Mig-A/17. This is in Bhubaneswar, Orissa. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it is quite peaceful for a place of work. We handle things as a Plant Manager from this location. It’s not a huge office with a receptionist and a lobby. It’s just a few of us in a regular building, surrounded by books, files, and phones. Bhubaneswar has grown a lot, but Nayapally still feels like a community. We spend our time coordinating between different sites and making sure the plants have what they need to keep running. It involves a lot of logistics and a fair amount of stress when things don't go according to plan. We don't have a mission statement or a fancy vision. We just want to make sure the work gets done and the workers are safe. Sometimes we have to deal with power cuts or slow internet, but we just find a way around it. It’s a very hands-on job even when we are behind a desk. We’ve been at this Brit Colony address for years now, and we know the local shops and people well. We aren't a big corporation. We are just local people who know how to manage a plant. It’s an honest way to work, and we don't feel the need to make it sound more important than it is.
