Our spot is in the Neel Chakra Apartment on Cuttack Road. Being in an apartment building makes it feel a bit different than a regular warehouse. We are at NA-508, and it’s basically where all the local coordination happens for Bhubaneswar. The stairs are a bit narrow, so carrying heavy samples or files up to the office can be a bit of a workout. From the window, you can see the traffic on the main road, which is always noisy with horns. Inside, the rooms are filled with desks and a few old cupboards that are bursting with files. We don't have fancy decorations, just some calendars on the wall and a few stacks of product catalogs. The air gets quite thick when it rains, which happens a lot here. We spend our days answering the phone, talking to dealers, and trying to keep everything organized. It’s mostly just us three or four people working in the rooms. Lunch is usually brought from home in tiffin carriers, and we eat together in the small back area. There isn't much to say about the decor because there isn't any. It's a functional space where we track shipments and make sure the accounts are okay. People find us because they know the building name, even if our door is just like any other in the hall. The elevator breaks down occasionally, which is just part of living in an older building like this.
