We spend most of our time at the Sri Ram Vihar Apartment office here in Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar. It is where we handle the paperwork for the water and sewer systems across the state. The day starts early with phone calls about pipes or drainage issues that people need sorted. Most of us have been working here for a while, so we know the local area pretty well. It is not a fancy office, just a place where we sit and try to keep things moving. We deal with engineers and contractors who come in and out all day long. Sometimes the files pile up on the desks, especially when there is a big project going on in one of the districts. It can be a bit noisy in this part of Bhubaneswar, but we are used to it by now. We just focus on the task at hand, whether that is checking a blueprint or making sure the billing is correct for a specific zone. People sometimes drop by with questions about their connections, and we do what we can to give them an answer. It is a lot of coordination between different departments and the field teams. We don't really do anything flashy here. It is just steady work making sure the basic infrastructure is looked after so everyone else can go about their day. It’s a busy office, but it feels like a community where everyone knows each other’s name and how they like their tea.
