Om Logistics Ltd is situated at EB 62 in Phase 5 of the BDA Colony in Bhubaneswar. This part of Orissa is quite nice, though it can get very hot during the summer months. Our office is right there in the colony, so it’s surrounded by other buildings and local residents. We handle a lot of the logistical side of things for the region. It’s mostly about making sure the trucks are on the right path and the cargo is accounted for. The space we have is functional—desks, some chairs for visitors, and plenty of space for all the logbooks we keep. We don’t have a big corporate lobby with a receptionist. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just looks up and says hello. We spend a lot of time talking to the drivers and checking on the weather reports, as that can really mess up our timing. Bhubaneswar is growing fast, and we see it changing every day from our spot in Phase 5. We’ve got a good routine going. We start early, have our coffee, and start making calls. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s a steady one. We prefer it this way because we can just focus on the task at hand without any distractions. It’s just a group of us working together in a regular office in a regular neighborhood. We have been here for a good while and we know the area like the back of our hands.
