New Kalyani Travels

Nayapalli is a busy area and we are right there in front of the Civil Supply Corp. New Kalyani Travels is basically just a place where we organize trips for people. We have a few cars and we know the city roads pretty well by now. The office isn't much to look at, just a room with some old maps and a telephone that rings quite a bit. We spend our mornings checking the schedule and making sure the drivers know where they are going. Sometimes people walk in off the street because they need a ride to the airport or maybe to Cuttack. We just sit here and handle the logs. It can get a bit dusty with all the construction around Bhubaneshwar lately, but we keep at it. The Civil Supply building is a good landmark because everyone knows it. We don’t do any big advertising or anything like that. Word usually gets around from neighbors or people who have used us before. We try to keep the cars in decent shape so they don't break down in the middle of a trip. If someone needs a vehicle for a wedding or a quick trip to the temple, they come talk to us. It is a simple life running a travel desk. We just make sure the keys are in the right hands and the tank is full. Most of the time it works out fine and we just close up when the last car returns.
