Nascence Architects

Our office sits on the first floor of Plot 728 in Sahid Nagar. It’s right near the Bomikhal Label Crossing, so we hear the traffic and the trains quite a bit throughout the day. It’s a busy part of Bhubaneshwar, but we’ve gotten used to the noise over the years. We started Nascence Architects because we wanted a place to just do our work without too much fuss. Most days involve us staring at computer screens or arguing over where a wall should go in a floor plan. It’s not always pretty, and the office gets a bit messy with coffee mugs and old blueprints, but that’s how we function. We’ve been in this building for a while now. The stairs can be a bit steep, so watch your step if you're coming up. We mostly deal with local folks who want to build something or fix up an old property they bought. We don't have a receptionist or anything fancy like that. Usually, one of us just looks up from a drawing when the door opens. We spend a lot of time thinking about how the sun hits the buildings here in Odisha because it gets so hot. It’s a small team, and we all know each other well. We try to keep the atmosphere relaxed. If we aren't at our desks, we're probably out at a site checking on the masonry or talking to some contractors.
