We are located on the Cuttack-Puri Road. It’s a major road, so we get to see a lot of people and vehicles passing by every single day. Our business, Gupta Cables Private Limited, has been operating from this spot for quite a while. The building isn't anything special to look at, but it’s sturdy and has enough space for all the cable drums we keep. We spend most of our time out in the front area or in the back where the inventory is stored. It gets quite hot in the summer, but we are used to it by now. We don't have a big marketing department or a fancy website. Most of the people who buy from us are local contractors or people working on their own houses. We try to keep a good variety of wires and cables so that nobody leaves empty-handed. Some days are very long, especially when we have to load up a big truck for a delivery. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the news while we wait for the next customer. It’s a straightforward life. We don’t make things more complicated than they need to be. We just provide the cables people ask for and try to keep our prices fair. The road outside is always loud, but inside we just focus on the task at hand. It’s a good place to work and we know the area well.
