This is the office of the Chief Engineer for Public Health in Bhubaneswar. Subarao Patro is the executive engineer in charge of the design side of things here. We spend a lot of time looking at blueprints and technical plans for the city's infrastructure. Being in Orissa, the weather can get pretty rough, so we have to plan things carefully. The office is located in the 751001 area code. It’s a government building, so expect plenty of files and old wooden desks. We mostly focus on urban public health projects. It’s not just drawing lines on paper; it’s about making sure the water and systems work for the people living here. Our team is small but we have been around for a while. You won't find any flashy posters or corporate talk here. We just drink our tea and get back to the design work. Sometimes the deadlines are tight when a new project gets the green light. We handle the technical side so the construction crews know what to do. It’s a lot of responsibility but we just take it one day at a time. The office atmosphere is quiet, mostly just the sound of pens on paper and some low talking. We’ve been at this for years in Bhubaneswar. We don't use fancy software for everything, sometimes the old ways of checking designs work the best for us. It is just daily engineering work.
