CHQX Interiors

You can find us at 260/1393 on Cuttack Road. We are really close to Laxmi Sagar Square, which is one of those places that never seems to be quiet. There is always a truck honking or a bike zooming past right outside the window. CHQX Interiors is tucked into a building that has seen a lot of years, but it works for us. Inside, it’s a bit of a mess of wood samples, fabric swatches, and paint cards. We try to keep things organized, but when you are busy, the mess just grows. The dust from the main road is a constant battle, so someone is usually wiping down the desks every couple of hours. It’s a practical space, nothing like those shiny showrooms you see in magazines. We have a few old chairs for visitors and a desk that’s seen better days, but it’s where all the planning happens. Working on Cuttack Road means we are right in the middle of everything in Bhubaneshwar, which is handy for getting parts or meeting people. The light in the office is okay in the morning, but by the afternoon, we have to turn all the lamps on. It’s just a regular group of us here, drinking too much coffee and trying to make sure the measurements on the drawings are actually right before anything gets sent out to the workers.
