Our office is tucked into Unit No 3 on Janpath. It’s a pretty busy stretch of road here in Bhubaneshwar, and you can always hear the traffic hum from downstairs. We’ve been here a while now, and the space has that comfortable, lived-in feel with stacks of files and desks that have seen better days. It isn’t a fancy corporate setup with glass walls, just a practical place where we get our daily work done. Most of the day is spent handling logistics and other bits and pieces for the company. We have a small staff, and we all know each other’s lunch habits by now. The tea stall right around the corner is where we usually end up when things get a bit stressful. People drop in asking for directions or about our services, and we just talk to them like neighbors. The ceiling fans make a bit of a clicking noise, but you get used to it after the first week or so. We don’t really go in for big advertisements; we just stay busy with the tasks on our desks. Sometimes the rain in Bhubaneshwar makes the street outside a bit of a mess, but we just keep the door shut and keep working. It’s a simple routine, from the time we open up in the morning until we lock the shutters in the evening. There’s always a lot of paperwork to go through, and we try to keep it organized as best as we can.
