Our space is at M5/11 in Acharya Vihar. It’s a decent neighborhood in Bhubaneshwar, not too crazy but still close to everything. Airzip Holidays Pvt Ltd started because a few of us wanted to work for ourselves. The office is basically a room with some computers and a couple of maps on the wall. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations because we’d rather just get the work done. Most of our day is spent looking at travel dates and trying to figure out the best ways to get people where they want to go. Acharya Vihar is a good place to be based. It has a mix of houses and offices, so it feels like a real community. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood throughout the day—traffic, people talking, the occasional street vendor. We aren’t a giant agency with hundreds of employees. It’s just a small group of us. We take our work seriously but we don’t use a lot of big words or corporate talk. If someone calls, they talk to one of us directly. We handle the holidays and the flights, making sure the dates match up. It’s a lot of double-checking and phone calls. We’ve been at this for a while and we just like the routine of it. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living in this city.
