Burhani Hardware

At Burhani Hardware, we spend our days surrounded by tools, pipes, and buckets of paint. Our shop is at House Number-431 in Ward Number-5, which is very close to the main bus stand. Being near the buses means we get a lot of noise and exhaust fumes, but it also brings in a lot of people. Workers and farmers often stop here before they catch their ride home. We sell everything from small screws to large plumbing fixtures. The place is often a bit messy because we have so much inventory and not enough space to put it all neatly. My hands are usually covered in some kind of grease or dust by noon. I don't have a fancy computer for the sales. I just use a paper pad and a pen to write down what people owe. It’s been this way for a long time. I have a helper who helps me move the heavy cement bags and metal rods. We don't have any special sales tactics. If someone needs a hammer, we show them the three types we have and they pick one. It’s very direct. We open up early because the first buses start arriving before eight. By the time the sun goes down, we are tired and ready to lock up. It's a rough kind of job, but it’s honest and it serves the local community well. We just do our bit to help people build and fix their things.
