Garg Farms

Pathshala Road is where we spend most of our time these days. We have been out here at 7-B/3 for quite a while now. Things change with the seasons, obviously. When it rains, the ground gets messy but that’s just how it is with farming. It isn't always easy. Some days the sun is just too much, and other days everything goes right. We usually start quite early when the air is still cool. My father used to say the morning is the only time to get real work done. We handle the crops and look after the soil. People stop by sometimes to ask about what's growing this month. It’s a bit quiet out here compared to the main city areas, which is nice. You get used to the sounds of the birds and the occasional tractor passing by. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. Just the land and the sheds where we keep the tools. Sometimes the equipment breaks down and we spend half the day fixing a pump or a fence. It is honest work. We grew up doing this, so it feels normal to be covered in dirt by noon. We just keep going, year after year. There is always something to plant or something to harvest. That’s how life goes at Garg Farms. We just stay busy and try to keep the place running. It’s not a complicated life, but it keeps us on our toes. You learn to respect the weather more than anything else when you live like this.
